Help build and grow the Novak Leadership Institute by becoming an NLI Student Ambassador.

New in 2021, the Student Ambassador Program brings together driven students from Novak Institute courses and programs to leverage their insights, ideas, and skills to grow the Institute and expand its impact among MU students and beyond. As an NLI Student Ambassador, you’ll join a competitive group of select students to apply your talent and passion for leadership to document, promote and build upon what’s happening in our programs and courses. Students who are accepted to the program select from among the following areas to contribute to the Institute’s mission and goals:

• NLI Mentoring Program – be mentored and serve as a peer coach/mentor for first-year MU students
• Course feedback & improvement – offer input and feedback on NLI courses and curriculum
• Program feedback & improvement – offer input and feedback on NLI experiential learning programs
• Recruiting & promotion – assist with promotion and recruiting for Novak courses and programs. Lead tours and information sessions for interested students.
• Industry partnerships – serve as liaisons between industry partners and MU
• Program coordination – assist with coordination of industry trips, events and experiential learning with industry and service partners
• Speaking & events – assist with hosting speakers and guest visitors to MU for NLI-sponsored events. Introduce speakers or speak about NLI experience at public-facing events
• Communication & Digital Media – collect video and photo assets for use in social media, website, and communication materials

Eligibility:

• MU upper-level students (Junior, Senior or Graduate level status)
• Must be enrolled in or have completed 1 or more NLI courses
• Must be able to commit to at least one full semester
