Samantha Horton, M.Ed., student success initiatives coordinator and MU Connect Roary Manager for the Division of Student Affairs, enjoys preparing students for success inside and outside the classroom.

In her own words: “Leadership education helps students better understand themselves, how they work with others, and how they can positively influence the environments around them. It also helps students see that leadership can take many forms and is grounded in skills like communication, empathy, problem-solving, and reflection. Ultimately, these skills support student success by preparing students to contribute meaningfully in their communities, classrooms, and future careers.”
