Haejung Shin (PhD, University of Missouri) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication and Digital Media Production at the University of Central Missouri. Her research focuses on the role of communication and media in individuals’ information processing about social issues. Particularly, she examines how individuals’ perceptions, attitudes, and behavioral intentions are influenced by various types of media and communication elements and what are effective communication strategies for specific social contexts.
