Brian Houston, University of Missouri, is associate provost for academic programs and professor of communication. He also directs the Disaster and Community Crisis Center, where his research focuses on communication before, during, and after disasters and community crises. His work examines the public health, mental health, and social impacts of crises, including the role of media and emerging technologies in resilience and recovery.
