Angela Dahman, is the Director of Strategic Communication and Marketing in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri. 

Dahman believes leadership isn't about titles or power. 

In her words: " It’s about how you influence others and help them do their best work. It starts with self‑awareness — understanding your own strengths, preferences and values — and grows through empathy and respect for the people around you. Many of us learned these lessons on the job, often the hard way. Students who begin developing these skills now are better prepared to enter the workforce ready to collaborate, support others and lead with purpose from day one."
